On Thursday 17th February, 2005 a Rice party was organised by June Walker for friends and members of the Church, in aid of the Jersey Asia Appeal for the Asia Tsunami.  The object was for people to give the amount they would normally spend on their meal in return for a bowl of rice.  Rice and prawn crackers was donated by two local restaurants.  After supper games were organised for all ages, and as a result £254 was raised, and has been forwarded to the Appeal
