Plenty of people wanted a slice of this charity Christmas cake which was sold for a second time on January 26th 2008 to raise funds for Shelterbox, a charity which is part of Rotary International.

June Walker (left) first bought this 14lb Christmas cake in the Jersey Christmas Appeal auction, run by Channel 103, in December 2007 but as it was too big for herself and her husband (Reg on the right) she decided it would take centre stage at a charity cake and tea sale.

The cake was made by David Inwood, the chef at Government House, and helped to raise a grand total of over £300 towards sending Shelterbox packs to the people of Kenya. Pictures of the event can be seen below;
